ACWF Enhances Capacity Building for Women's Social Organizations in Western China

An online training session on enhancing capacity building for women's social organizations in China's western regions was held from December 22 to 24 to further strengthen guiding, contacting and serving women's social organizations and accelerating the development of women's social organizations in western regions.
The training session, held by the Human Resources Development Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and ACWF Social Liaison, Exchanges and Cooperation Center (Women's Foreign Language Publications of China), was the first training session focusing women's social organizations held by the ACWF.
The session explained the Party's innovative theories and policies related to women, children and families, and introduced concrete practices and case analyses of women's social organizations' work to help staff of women's social organizations and women's federations acquire relevant knowledge and improve their abilities.

Zhao Lianfei, a professor with the Institute of Sociology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, gives a lecture on common social problems and governance related to women, children and families. [Women of China] |
Li Wen, a researcher at the Women's Studies Institute of China, gives a lecture on opportunities and challenges for the development of women's social organizations in the new era. [Women of China] |
Yu Xukun, deputy director of a juvenile legal aid and research center in Beijing, gives a lecture on the development of and challenges facing social organizations for women and children. [Women of China] |
Participants from Chongqing Municipality, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Sichuan, Yunnan and Shaanxi provinces shared their feelings and experiences via video link. The trainees said that they will apply what they learned from the session to the work of women's social organizations and improve their abilities to serve women, children and families, and play a positive role in providing services at the grassroots level in a better way.
